Resume parsing API alternatives, compared on public facts

Thinking of replacing your resume parser? Each page below puts HireLayer next to one vendor: published prices turned into a cost per CV, the features each side documents, where the other vendor is the better choice, and what a migration involves.

Vendor facts checked on 1 October 2026, with sources on every page.

How to choose a resume parsing API

The best alternative depends on your stack, your volume and your documents, not on a ranking.

Build a fair benchmark
  1. 01

Start from the integration you have

Request format, authentication, sync or queued results and output schema decide most of the migration work. Each comparison shows the before and after request and a field map.

  2. 02

Price the unit, not the plan

Vendors bill per document, per credit with add-ons, per stored record or on quote. Convert to a cost per successfully parsed CV at your real volume and share of scans.

  3. 03

    Test on your own CVs

No vendor in this list, HireLayer included, publishes a benchmark you can reproduce. Parse the same permissioned sample with each shortlisted API and score the fields you store.

Other options buyers look at

These vendors have no dedicated page yet: less buyer demand, a different audience, or too little public detail for a fair comparison. Checked on the same date, from their own pages.
